Four killed in Cox’s Bazar road crash

Four people were killed and 8 others injured as a bus hit a utility vehicle at Fashiakhali area of Chakaria upazila in Cox’s Bazar on Friday.

The accident took place on Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar Highway at about 3:00pm.

The deceased were Mohammad Kalu, his wife Rina Akter, Kala Khatun of Kutubjum in Moheshkhali upazila and Ali Riaz of Nijpankhali village in Chakaria.

Chakaria Police Station Officer-in-charge Zahirul Islam said the accident took place when a Saudia Paribahan bus hit a utility vehicle (chander gari) from behind.

We’re trying to recover the body, the OC added.
